Employee Engagement for Healthcare and Clinics | Amélio

Amélio for healthcare

You take care of your patients. Who's taking your team's pulse?

In your clinic, pharmacy or care home: who's still holding up, which shift is burning out, and who's already looking elsewhere?

Symptoms you know all too well

Reason for visit
Priority

Burnout

Fatigue sets in quietly, and you only see it the day a sick leave or a resignation letter lands on your desk.

Priority

Care staff shortages

Every vacant position adds to the load of those who stay, and the cycle spins out of control.

Urgent

Schedules that upend everything

Between evenings, weekends and last-minute replacements, your employees renegotiate their personal lives every week.

Monitor

Emotional load

Your caregivers deal with anxious patients, worried families and tough decisions. They carry a lot and say little, especially to their boss.

Chronic

Managers with no time to manage

Often clinicians themselves, your team leads put patients first. Listening to the team waits… until the next resignation.

You already know the diagnosis. What you're missing is a reliable reading, team by team, and a simple way to act before things get worse.

Examine, diagnose, treat, follow up

Bring the same rigor to your teams' health that you bring to patient care.

Examination

A survey staff can complete between two patients

Your staff answer in a few minutes on their phone, by email, text message or a QR code posted in the break room. Those without a work email address use a kiosk or a user code.

  • Confidential, with a minimum response threshold per team
  • Available in 29 languages for a diverse workforce

Diagnosis

What really matters to your staff

Amélio cross-references the importance of each factor with your teams' satisfaction. You see the two or three levers to tackle first, not an endless list.

  • Results by team, by site and by shift if you wish
  • Comment analysis that brings weak signals to the surface

Treatment

An action plan ready for every team lead

Every manager receives results that are already analyzed, recommended actions tailored to their team and a meeting plan to discuss them. Automated coaching then supports them, with no training sessions to organize.

  • More than 100 recommended actions
  • Presentation reports generated automatically

Follow-up

Measure progress, not a one-day snapshot

Regular pulse surveys show whether your actions are paying off. You follow each team's curve, the way you follow a patient's progress.

  • Trends over time, by team
  • Recognition cards to celebrate everyday efforts

From action plan to one-on-one meeting

Team results don't stay buried in a report. Amélio prepares each employee's one-on-one with their team's context: the goal, the topics to cover, the sensitive points.

Quality of care depends on how well every team performs.

An exhausted or poorly supported employee costs you a lot, even if they stay.

Built for your clinical reality

Physicians, nurses, front desk: one team

In a clinic, tension often builds where roles meet: the front desk absorbing the wait times, nurses always on the run, professionals who never cross paths. Amélio shows what each group is going through.

  • Results by job group, protected by an anonymity threshold
  • An action plan for the clinic coordinator, no HR department needed
  • A clear picture for the partners or leadership

Quebec Law 27 · psychosocial risks

Your caregivers' psychological health is now a legal obligation

In Quebec, since October 6, 2025, every workplace must assess and prevent psychosocial risks, and similar occupational health and safety requirements apply elsewhere. In healthcare, your teams face several of these risks every day:

  • Workload
  • Lack of recognition
  • Strained relationships
  • Harassment
  • Isolation

Amélio measures these factors, documents your approach and helps you build the action plan your prevention obligations require.

Your questions, answered

In a small clinic, do responses really stay anonymous?

Yes. Respondents' identities are kept confidential and anonymous. No results are shown below a minimum response threshold, and for a very small team, results are grouped together.

My teams work days, evenings and nights. Can we tell them apart?

Yes. You define the groups that make sense for you: team, site, shift, job. Each manager sees their own group's results, with recommended actions specific to them.

We don't have an HR department. Is this for us?

Yes. Amélio gives every manager results that are already analyzed and a concrete action plan. Our team supports you through the launch, and our organizational development advisors can review the results with you.

Our physicians are self-employed. Can we include them in the survey?

Yes, if you wish. You decide who receives the survey: salaried staff only, or also the physicians who practice at the clinic. Placed in a separate group, their results are read separately, always with the minimum threshold that protects anonymity. Custom questions can also address what matters to them: how appointment slots are organized, support from staff, collaboration with the team.

See the five other questions

We already run a small homemade survey. Why switch?

In a small clinic, a homemade survey is rarely seen as anonymous: everyone knows management could figure out who wrote what. Amélio protects anonymity, even in a small team, and goes beyond the survey: you get a concrete action plan and coaching to carry it out.

My staff don't have time for a survey. How do we get responses?

Amélio surveys take just a few minutes on a phone, between two patients or during a break. You choose the channel: email, text message, a QR code posted in the break room, a kiosk or a user code. Average participation among our clients is 85%.

My staff speak several languages. Is that a problem?

No. The survey is available in 29 languages. Each person answers in the language they express themselves best in, and you read the results in yours.

Does Amélio help us meet our psychosocial risk prevention obligations, such as Quebec's Law 27?

Amélio measures recognized psychosocial risk factors, such as workload, recognition and relationships, and documents your approach over time. Our team can also help you build your action plan.

Amélio measures engagement. What about our employees' performance?

Amélio also includes a performance management module: a growth path to strengthen each caregiver's skills, 360 feedback between colleagues across all shifts, reviews and one-on-one meetings. Because it's connected to engagement results, managers evaluate each person with their team's context in mind, rather than with an isolated score. See performance management.
